Webcomic Hurricane Relief Telethon

The Webcomic Hurricane Relief Telethon was created to help raise money for those who suffered due to the devastation brought about by Hurricane Katrina.

The site stated: "All of the income generated through the advertising on this page will be donated to the Red Cross. All of the profits from the sales of a book collection of Webcomic Telethon cartoons will be donated to the Red Cross."

The site began posting new comics contributed by the webcomic community starting on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. New comics appeared every twenty minutes for over two days.

I illustrated one of those comics, the comic you see here. It was a Local Heroes "day in the life" strip that was written by my friend, Gil. The comic was posted on September 15, 2005.

One hundred strips were collected and published in a printed book later that same month. This collection included the strip presented here.
