Playtime Projects
In July 1997, I celebrated the 10 year anniversary of my first domain, Hurm.com. I celebrated the occasion for ten weeks by having a new event each week. Events included giveaways, artistic creation tips, and the launch of a new webcomic—Playtime Projects.
Playtime Projects is about a dysfunctional children's show and it's equally-dysfunctional cast. The site is a variation on the one introduced to Hurm.com for its 10 year anniversary celebration, with color and art variations unique to Playtime Projects. The design was hand-coded (HTML and CSS) using basic text editors and implemented using Movable Type. Some of the CSS was adapted from the Yahoo! User Interface Library's CSS Reset tool.
The strip is created entirely in Macromedia Flash, although some characters were designed using both Macromedia Flash and Freehand.
