Hurm.com in 2007

In July 1997, I celebrated the 10 year anniversary of my first domain, Hurm.com. I celebrated the occasion for ten weeks by having a new event each week. Events included giveaways, artistic creation tips, and the launch of a new webcomic. A collection of such momentous events required a brand new web design, which I applied to the home page of Hurm.com, the Hurm.com news section (formerly known as my "Nowheresville" blog), and new webcomic.

I hand coded the new design (HTML and CSS) using basic text editors and implemented using Movable Type. Some of the CSS was adapted from the Yahoo! User Interface Library's CSS Reset tool. Although all artwork was custom-created for the new design (by hand, using Macromedia Freehand, and Adobe ImageReady and Photoshop), the same layout was used for several sites. Variations in the art were applied to each site that used the same design layout.
