Hurm Studio logo

This was originally a pen and ink logo, later finished off in Macromedia Freehand.

The original Hurm logo was sloppily rendered with a Windsor Newton Sable-haired Series 7 brush, using a mix of Black Magic and FW Inks, onto a Post-it® sheet. It included only the word "Hurm" and the two characters (affectionately called Hurman and Hurmette). I received so much positive feedback on the original graphic that I decided to forgo any significant "corrections" and stick with using the original.

Much later, this logo was scanned with an HP ScanJet IIc and turned into a vector-based drawing using Adobe Streamline 2.0. Some minor tooling occured, to fix some technical issues, in Macromedia FreeHand 5.0.

The original graphic represented an overall branding for all my creative endeavors (comics, web site, desktop publishing, etc.), but is shown here merged with a border that once was used as my "Hurm Studio" artistic tag (essentially just for business cards).
