Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a live performance of my co-worker and friend, Sean Neil. He was the second of four acts at Emo's in Austin, Texas, playing acoustic guitar and singing a mix of songs by Dynamite Boy, Ben Folds Five, Tom Waits, and others.
The opening act was O'Doyle Rules, then Sean, folowed by Kissenger, and topped off by Cruiserweight--with Sean joining in with Cruiserweight to sing backup on one song.
Sean was actually once part of the now-defunct Dynamite Boy band. The VH1 website has a bio on the band (although the link used for Sean incorrectly links to Sean Lennon). In addition to touring, they also had some of their songs appear in television (such as MTV's The Real World) and movies.
Here's a wave wile of Sean's second song of the night, accompanied by the audience and recorded with my cell phone. Also created with my cell phone is the snapshot below, showing Sean singing that very same Dynamite Boy song.

Also, I suck because I didn't go and it turns out I would have liked the music. Bad girlfriend! Bad!

Oh, it's OK, you can come next time, Susan. And I can't believe Keith called me his friend! *sigh* I feel empowered now!

I think I spent some time with this Mr. Neil In an undisclosed middle eastern country about 15 years ago, would love to hear from him.
