It's quiet...too quiet. My comment-spam seems to have stopped 100%. My Movable Type installation uses three methods to thwart comment-spam, and it seems that methods two and three are the perfect spam-thwarting team.
So you cold always post a comment to Nowheresville, but what happens is that comments from registered TypeKey users will immediately appear, comments from unregistered posters will wait in my comment-moderation list until I approve them. This first anti-spam method wasn't so much a way to stop getting comment-spam, as it was to stop you and me from being forced to see them on a live site. I was still bombarded with spam behind the scenes. Yuck.
My second method involves MT-Blacklist, which I tried about a year ago. I didn't reinstall it when I switched web hosts because I wasn't thrilled with it. MT-Blacklist references a shared, fequently updated list of spammers and their posting patterns and blocks any comments that match those patterns, and it gets rave reviews. I decided to give it another shot. I reinstalled it two days ago, and it seemed to have somewhere around a 42.6% failure rate.
Yesterday, I installed the MT-Keystrokes, plugin and this third anti-spam method seems to fill any and all gaps left by MT-Blacklist. MT-Keystrokes attempts to ensure that actual typing occurs in the comment submission form, as opposed to the form page bypassing techniques that automated spammers use.
Since I installed MT-Keystrokes, it and MT-Blacklist have kept all spam from reacing my comment moderation list. This is a phenomenal occurance. I'm getting very tempted here. As an experiment, I'm going to remove the moderation from my comments and see what happens for a day. Cross your fingers. If things work out, I'll leave the moderation off and all legitimate comments will appear live after they are posted.

I have my comments moderated the same way as you, and have MT-Blacklist. I am going to have to try MT-Keystrokes, specially if it's as good as you say!

At this time, zero spam comments have gotten through Nowheresville's defenses. My anti-spam tactics continue to work at 100% efficiency.
