I just read a rumor at Om Malik's blog that Six Apart, the makers of Movable Type (my preferred online publishing system), may buy LiveJournal (which a free web log service kind of like Blogger). Going over to the Six Apart site I see the rumor is true.
The article I read said:If the deal goes through, then Six Apart will become one of the largest weblog companies in the world, with nearly 6.5 million users. It also gives the company a very fighting chance against Google’s Blogger and Microsoft’s MSN Spaces.
