New host for Hurm.com

Hurm.com is now live on its new web site host server. I liked the old host just fine, but these new guys offer all the same bells & whistles, plus a bit more for a bit cheaper. Propigation throughout the internet is complete, or nearly so. You probably didn't even notice the change, it was so smooth.

Still, some small things are broken, and I'm fixing them. If you see something wrong, or can't access your forums account, let me know and I'll try to figure out how to fix it.

Note 1: The version of the Movable Type publishing system I upgraded to no longer defaults to saving entry-files by number. All entry-file names are words, based on the title of that entry. This means that any links or bookmarks to old entries won't work.

Note 2: I re-added the "Search Archives" feature that I took out so long ago because it wouldn't work. It works swimingly now, so it's back! Enjoy!

Note 3: This site no longer accepts unregistered comments. (You can register for free at TypeKey.) Sorry, but the comment-spam I was getting was unbearable, and some filtering and accountability needed to be put into place for my own sanity.

What server are you on? I'm on Vinka.

I didn't know they named their servers like that. I'll have to check. (How do I find that out?)

On a side note, when I tried signing in using a PC version of Internet Explorer to post this comment, it kept sending me back from TypeKey.com to a "you must sign in to comment" note on my site. Very odd. I'm posting this from Mozilla Firefox for PC now, and things work fine. I'll have to look into why Explorer couldn't accept returning from TypeKey in order to update the signed-in consideration.

You can check any email headers you get to a hurm.com email address. Like f'rinstance, email to posted@macphoenix.com has this in the header:

vinka.dizinc.com

Also, you can check your control panel. There are server stats on the side bar, and I believe it says the server name there. It is good to know, if you have to get support for some reason.
